This mighty tool mimics a collaborative Word-Document where you can work hand in hand with your AI assistant. Make your edits directly in the text or use the chat interface to request AI-powered updates to the document according to your needs.
How to activate the Canvas tool
Manual: Using the slash command /canvas or @canvas in the chat interface signifies the assistant that you want to open a Canvas document.
Automatic: For a more seamless approach, use formulations such as "let's collaborate on xy" in your prompt. Our assistant understands your intention.
Configuration: Depending on your use case, it can be helpful if your assistant always opens a Canvas document on the base of your prompt. You can turn the feature on in your assistant configuration.
Features
Edit text directly in the Canvas document: This allows you to fine-tune the document according to your needs and wishes personally in seconds and gain more control over the desired outcome of the final document. Since our Canvas supports markdown formatting, it's easier than ever to work on your document in a structured manner.
Collaborate with the power of AI simultaneously: Our chat interface is designed to provide you with maximum efficiency while remaining structured and clear at the same time. Use the regular chat interface on the left to converse with your AI assistant to request it to make changes in the document and watch as the document is updated in real time. Edit the document yourself on the right side of your screen.
Compare and restore different versions of the document: Click through the different versions of the document you and your assistant have worked on at any time and recover any previous version if required. Nothing is lost.
